I believe it was a free book and I chose the book because of the cover. It was a book that was offered through Amazon’s Kindle program. I have to be honest, I really didn’t know what to expect when I picked up this book. ![]()

![]() ![]() I find myself incapable of not comparing this to Captive Prince-come for the gay, stay for the incredibly well-written everything. The plot is…I won’t lie, it’s still my favorite thing about the books. And besides, it’s hard to talk about what happens on the court without explaining what happens between the characters. But then again, I feel like other people might care about it. For instance, I could talk about the championship plot, since to me, it isn’t really the main appeal. I feel like recapping the plot of the rest of this trilogy is pretty complicated, especially if I want to stick to my no-spoiler policy. ![]() ![]() Well, all right, it wasn’t, but that’s the point, isn’t it? In an authentic, unaffected, and mordantly funny voice, Michael Harmon tells the wrenching story of an uprooted and uncomfortable teenaged guy trying to fix the lives around him–while figuring out his own. He’s hiding a secret about his family, and Ben is determined to uncover it and set things right. Tasha Suri is the award-winning author of The Books of Ambha duology ( Empire of Sand and Realm of Ash) and the epic fantasy The Jasmine Throne. The Jasmine Throne was one part fantasy epic with a very cool nature-based magic system, one part slow burn sapphic romance, and one part morally grey lesbians burning down a pretty awful patriarchal system.
